DI KHAN: A horrific suicide assault and shooting at the Darbin police station in Dera Ismail Khan resulted in the deaths of three security personnel and the injury of sixteen more.
DI Khan suicide attack: The attackers used a vehicle loaded with explosives to smash through the police station’s main gate in order to carry out their evil scheme. Consequently, three courageous police officers—Hawaldar Riasat and Sepoy Zulfiqar, among others—made the ultimate sacrifice and chose to die while performing their duties.
Unfazed by the first assault, the terrorists tried to enter the police station by firing shots. The security forces’ prompt and courageous reaction resulted in the elimination of three terrorists in the ensuing exchange.
They immediately took the injured to the DI Khan hospital for treatment.
Security personnel are taking the necessary actions to ensure the safety and security of the region by placing Tehsil Darbin under total lockdown.
The authorities have canceled the papers and closed the schools in the Tehsil.
