Tuesday saw the election of Haji Gulbar Khan as house leader in Gilgit Baltistan.
PTI leader elected new GB CM: He garnered 19 votes in total and won without opposition. The Pakistan People’s Party, the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz, and Jamiat-e-Ulema (F) have all backed Gulbar, who is a member of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf front bloc.
As a result of the PTI’s ‘hum khayal’ group abstaining from the poll, he was elected without opposition. The boycott was also supported by Islami Tehreek and Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen.
Raja Azam Khan, Raja Zakaria, and Javed Manwa make form the hum khayal group.
Gulbar, who is a member of Diamer, formerly held the position of health minister.
Khalid Khursheed, the chief minister of the PTI, lost his right to hold office earlier this month as a result of a court decision in a case involving a false degree.
