During an intelligence-based operation in the general region of Tirah, Khyber District, four Pakistan Army officials—including a lieutenant colonel—embraced martyrdom, the military’s media wing announced on Monday.
Army officials martyred in Tirah: Inter Services Public Relations Pakistan (ISPR) conducted the operation in response to reports of terrorists in the area.
Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Hassan Haider led my troops to successfully engage the terrorists’ site during the operation; as a result, they killed three terrorists and injured three more.
“Yet, amid a fierce gunfight, four courageous sons of the land—Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Hassan Haider, a 43-year-old Islamabad resident; Naik Khushdil Khan, a 31-year-old resident of District Lakki Marwat; Naik Rafique Khan, a 27-year-old resident of District Charsadda; and Lance Naik Abdul Qadir, a 33-year-old resident of District Murree—abandoned Shahadat after valiantly engaging in combat.
ISPR reports that Pakistan’s security forces are conducting a sanitization operation to eliminate any terrorists found in the region. “The selfless sacrifices of our brave soldiers strengthen our resolve to eradicate the threat of terrorism,” they stated.
Pakistani forces killed nine terrorists on Saturday as they thwarted an assault on the Pakistan Air Force’s Mianwali Training Air Base (PAF).
“A failed terrorist attack occurred on November 4, 2023, early in the morning at the Pakistan Air Force’s Mianwali Training Air Base. Alhumdolliah, as a result of the troops’ prompt and efficient response, has been foiled and thwarted, ensuring the safety and security of personnel and assets,” the ISPR stated in a statement at the time.
According to the statement, three already-grounded aeroplanes and a gasoline bowser sustained some damage during the attack.
In the Gwadar District, two security force trucks were the target of a terrorist attack that claimed the lives of fourteen troops. As the soldiers were advancing from Pasni to Ormara, the attack took place.
