The Little Mermaid live-action film from Disney, starring Halle Bailey, has an official trailer. Bailey and Melissa McCarthy debuted it on Sunday night at the 2023 Oscars (March 12).
In a new adaptation of the Disney animated classic, McCarthy plays Ursula, Javier Bardem plays King Triton, and Jonah Hauer-King plays Eric. Bailey plays Ariel in the lead role.
This extended preview, which has a runtime of two minutes and twenty seconds, follows a recent 30-second teaser and a clip highlighting Bailey’s stunning performance of “Part of Your World” from D23. It gives viewers a cinematic look at Ariel’s world and the characters that surround her, from life under the sea to life recently on land.
On May 26, The Little Mermaid opens in theatres.
