ISLAMABAD: On January 12 and 13, Prime Minister (PM) Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will go to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) at the invitation of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.
The prime minister would be making his third trip to the UAE since taking office. A high-level delegation, including important cabinet members, will accompany the prime minister, the PM Office announced on Tuesday.
The prime minister will meet with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, president of the UAE, during the visit, with a particular focus on strengthening economic, commercial, and investment connections between the two friendly nations and expanding opportunities for the Pakistani workforce in the UAE. Additionally, the two leaders will discuss a variety of global and regional problems of shared concern. The UAE’s Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Muhammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and the prime minister will meet.
The prime minister will meet with Emirati businesspeople and investors during the trip to discuss ways to improve cross-border commerce and investment.
Around 1.7 million Pakistanis reside in the UAE and have contributed significantly to the progress, prosperity, and economic development of the two friendly nations over the past 50 years, helping to tell the success narrative of the UAE.
Due to their shared religious beliefs and customs, shared history and cultural affinities, geographical closeness, and shared worldviews on a number of regional and international issues, Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates have strong and familial connections. This relationship’s defining characteristic is its frequent high-level communication and visits.
