The debut of Pakistan first electric bus service in Karachi was announced by Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon on Friday.
The minister said in a tweet that the bus service will be available to city residents starting today.
He explained that this service will begin from Tank Chowk Malir Cantt and travel via Khayaban e Ittihad to the Clock Tower Roundabout and Sea View Defense.
The Sindh Mass Transit Authority claims that because these electric buses are solar-powered, they are environmentally benign.
These bases will also have affordable fares and provide a comfortable ride.

Sharjeel Memon had stated that the service would launch in two parts, with taxis colored blue and pink. We will fit pink cabs with cameras and a monitoring system to ensure safety and security.
