rupee falls against dollar: Karachi In the interbank and open markets, the Pakistani rupee lost ground versus the US dollar for a second day in a row as a result of the lingering uncertainty around the resurrection of the IMF accord.
On the interbank market, the rupee fell by 0.24% versus the dollar, ending the day at Rs282.29 as opposed to Rs281.61 on Friday, when it fell by 0.30%.
The IMF did not put Pakistan on its agenda until March 31, according to reports. This development has caused investors to express unfavorable opinions.
The price of gold (24 carats) has increased by Rs 2,300 per tola and Rs 1,972 per 10 grammes, according to data from the All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA). These prices are now Rs 201,500 per tola and Rs 172,754 per kilogramme, respectively.
