Afghanistan’s T20I cricket captain, Rashid Khan, joyfully tied the knot on Thursday in a vibrant wedding celebration attended by fellow cricketers, fans, and loved ones. Widely regarded as one of the top cricketers of his generation, especially in T20I cricket, Khan holds several records, including being the youngest player to take 50 and 100 wickets. He currently ranks as the No. 1 bowler in ICC T20I rankings.
Khan, who made his ODI debut at just 17 during Afghanistan’s 2015 tour of Zimbabwe, shared the happy news with his fans, who were thrilled to see this new chapter in his life. Adding to the joy, his brothers Amir Khalil, Zakiullah, and Raza Khan also got married in the same ceremony.
Photos and videos from the event quickly went viral, with fans celebrating alongside their favorite cricketer. Notably, Afghan cricket team members offered their heartfelt congratulations, with veteran player Mohammad Nabi’s message standing out. “Congratulations to the one and only King Khan, Rashid Khan, on your wedding! Wishing you a lifetime of love, happiness, and success ahead,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
Dressed in traditional Afghan attire, Khan beamed with happiness as he shared this special moment with his family and friends.
