Sanaullah claims Swati “maligned” the army and courts, not the government.
hopes that “institution” will uphold its promise to be “apolitical.”
In the drug case brought against him, Rana Sanaullah submitted a petition for his release.
Azam Swati, a senator for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, was accused of targeting two institutions rather than the government, according to Interior Minister Rana Sanauallah, who on Saturday rejected the notion that the accusations against Swati were motivated by “political vengeance.”
This was said by the head of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) at a press conference in Lahore. The minister claimed that the cases against Swati had nothing to do with the government.
According to Sanaullah, the senator attacked the army and the judiciary rather than the government.
“We would have had them prosecuted with heroin possession if we wanted to frame [PTI leaders] in court cases or punish them the way they treated us,” he claimed.
The interior minister continued by saying that legal action is being taken against them. “The Balochistan High Court just dismissed the charges against him. However, we have been fighting our cases for years, “added said.
Sanaullah continued by claiming that Shaukat Tarin, a former finance minister, “spoke about sabotaging” the International Monetary Fund (IMF) programme in the allegedly leaked audio.
He claimed that because they lacked the necessary authority, they were determined to wreck the nation’s economy.
He questioned, “Why shouldn’t the cases against the coalition government members be closed when they are being closed following litigation?
Sanaullah stated that the publication Daily Mail recognised its error and apologised for it in reference to the defamation action against the UK paper about corruption charges against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
He asserted that former federal minister Shahzad Akbar ordered the newspaper to make the error.
The minister claimed that Imran Khan “laid fake charges against others when he himself was engaged in corruption,” adding that they should also apologise to the country for false cases.
Government-Opposition talks
Sanaullah stated that the government is prepared for “unconditional negotiations” when referring to the discussions between the current administration and the opposition. The president, Dr. Arif Alvi, is attempting to mediate between the two groups, he continued.
The minister claimed that Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Fawad Chaudhry, Parvez Khattak, and Asad Qaiser had all attempted to accomplish this in the past, but Imran Khan disregarded their advice.
The interior minister responded to a question regarding PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif’s homecoming by saying that the party had called for him to be present in Pakistan for the upcoming election campaign, and the former prime minister had agreed.
Apolitical
Sanaullah expressed optimism that the “institution” will uphold its pledge to continue being “apolitical”.
During the media discussion in Lahore, the federal minister stated, “Army is an organised entity where an individual’s policy doesn’t function.”
He claimed that the institution had decided to maintain the army’s “apolitical” status.
He continued, “It was the institution’s policy and it still is.
Drug Offence
A plea has been submitted asking for Sanaullah to be exonerated in a narcotics case that was brought against him while the PTI administration was in power.
Assistant Director Imtiaz Ahmed and Inspector Ahsan Azam, according to attorney Farhad Shah, have denied the accusations made against his client.
The PML-N leader should be exonerated, according to the plea, which said the case was a result of a political witch hunt.
