APK ISLAMABAD – On Monday, Shehbaz Sharif, the prime minister of Pakistan, requested earnest negotiations with Narendra Modi, the PM of India, to settle the pressing concerns, particularly Kashmir.
He stated, “My message to the Indian leadership and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is that let us get down at the table and have serious and sincere negotiations to tackle our burning concerns like Kashmir,” in an interview with the Al Arabiya television station.
He added that India had stolen any semblance of autonomy granted to Kashmiris by article 370 of the Indian constitution and that egregious human rights violations were occurring every day in Kashmir. In August 2019, he continued, the autonomy was taken away.
He said “This must stop so that message can go across the world that India is willing to hold dialogue” when he claimed that India is persecuteing its minorities.
India and Pakistan are neighbors and must coexist, according to Shehbaz Sharif. “It is up to us whether we coexist quietly and advance or fight and squander time and money. Our three wars with India have only increased the suffering, destitution, and unemployment among the populace. We’ve learned our lesson, and as long as we can solve our actual issues, we want to live in peace.
I want to convey to Prime Minister Modi that, instead of squandering resources on bombs and ammunition, we should focus on reducing poverty, achieving prosperity, and offering our people access to jobs, healthcare, and educational opportunities.
“Pakistan and UAE Strengthen Ties, Discuss Cooperation and Countering Terrorism”
Shehbaz Sharif said, “God forbid a conflict breaks out, we are nuclear powers, armed to the teeth, and who will live to tell what occurred.”
He added that he will hold talks with the Indian leadership with the sincerity of purpose and suggested that the leadership of the United Arab Emirates might play a significant role in bringing India and Pakistan together. He claimed that Saudi Arabia was a kind and fraternal nation where they had long-standing, exceptional brotherly relations. PM noted that millions of Muslims had cordial ties with Saudi Arabia and were traveling to Makkah and Medina before Pakistan was created and split off from India.
The prime minister claimed that the United Arab Emirates served as a second home to millions of Pakistanis and that his visit there as prime minister had been fruitful. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed was a devoted brother who supported Pakistan and wished for its people to flourish and succeed.
“Leadership of Pakistan and the Gulf nations have decided to collaborate in commerce and cultural spheres, portray Islam as a religion of peace, and abstain from all forms of terrorism. As strategic partners, we are cooperating.
According to the prime minister, Saudi Arabia and the Gulf brothers, who are dependable and trustworthy allies, did not provide Pakistan with the tangible and significant support that they did.
He also asserted that the Pakistani people were strong and fearless and that they will stand on their own two feet by fostering trade and investment.
In response to a query, he claimed that coexistence was essential for the survival of the world and that the events in eastern Europe had destroyed the region and caused a sharp rise in commodity prices.
