Petrol and diesel prices unchanged: Ishaq Dar, the finance minister, said that the cost of petrol and diesel will not change for the ensuing 15 days.
The price of petroleum goods will remain unchanged for the ensuing 15 days, according to the federal government.
In a press release, Ishaq Dar stated that the government maintained the petroleum product prices at their current levels through April 15. He added that the cost of light fuel and kerosene have been cut by up to Rs10.
Till April 15, the price of petrol remained at Rs. 272 per litre and that of diesel at Rs. 293.
Kerosene oil will now cost Rs180.29 per litre after being reduced by Rs10, while light diesel oil (LDO) will cost Rs174.68.
Subsequently, The government raised the cost of gasoline and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs. 5 and Rs. 13 per litre, respectively, on March 15.
According to a news statement from the Finance Division, Pakistan’s imports of POL (petroleum, oil, and lubricant) products have increased as a result of the depreciation of the Pakistani rupee.
Moreover, The price of fuel and diesel have both been raised by the government by Rs. 5 per litre. Moreover, the price of light diesel oil was not changed while the price of kerosene oil was raised by Rs2.56.
Following the revision, the cost of petrol increased to Rs. 272 per litre, that of diesel to Rs. 293, that of kerosene to Rs. 190.29 per litre, while the cost of LDO stayed at Rs. 184.68 per litre.
