ISLAMABAD Islamabad has no desire to escalate tensions with Iran, according to Jalil Jilani, Pakistan’s acting foreign minister.
Pakistan escalate tension with Iran: FM Jilani said this in a telephonic conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkiye Hakan Fidan.
In a post on X, the Foreign Office said that the two discussed ongoing developments between Pakistan and Iran. FM Jilani shared Pakistan’s perspective and the recent happenings.
He claimed that the target of Pakistan’s Operation Marg Bar Sarmachar was terrorist camps located within Iran.
This incident occurs just hours after Pakistan destroyed terrorist hideouts within the Iranian border, following a day of airspace violations and strikes in Balochistan by Tehran.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Pakistan has successfully launched attacks against terrorists’ hideouts in Iran that they had been using to plot previous attacks in Pakistan.
Early on January 18, 2024, Pakistan launched successful operations against terrorists’ hideouts in Iran that they had been using to launch recent attacks on Pakistan. The military wing used killer drones, rockets, loitering munitions, and stand-off weapons in the precision strikes. When providing information about Operation Marg Bar Sarmachar, they emphasized, “Maximum care was taken to avoid collateral damage.”

The ISPR reported that the “Marg Bar Sarmachar” intelligence-based operation effectively targeted the terrorist groups Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) hideouts.
Notable terrorists like Dosta alias Chairman, Bajjar alias Soghat, Sahil alias Shafaq, Asghar alias Basham, and Wazir alias Wazi, among others, were using the targeted hideouts, it continued.
Additionally. The statement emphasizes that Pakistan’s armed forces are always prepare to protect its people from terrorist attacks.
Further, “We are steadfast in our determination to uphold Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and to keep them safe from harm.” Furthermore, The propaganda wing of the military declared, “We reaffirm our determination to defeat all enemies of Pakistan with the support of the people of Pakistan.”
However, In the future, it is considere wise for the two neighboring, fraternal countries to engage in conversation and collaboration to resolve bilateral concerns.
