KARACHI – The price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) was increased by Rs. 12 per kilogram on Tuesday by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).
The new price of petroleum gas increased and now stands at Rs278 per kilogramme. The residential 11.8 kilogramme LPG cylinder would now cost Rs3,278 as opposed to Rs3,141 at the previous pricing.
In the meantime, because of the drop in crude oil prices on the global market, it is anticipated that all petroleum product prices would decrease starting tomorrow (March 1).
Due to the record-high fuel prices in the cash-strapped nation, the coalition administration is expected to reduce fuel prices. This move is aimed at passing on the global decline in fuel prices to consumers.
The anticipated drop in high-speed diesel prices is about Rs 20 to Rs 260 per litre. Meanwhile, petrol prices are expected to decrease by about Rs 7 to Rs 264.30 per litre compared to the current rate of Rs 272 per litre.
