Karachi defeat Lahore: Karachi Kings finally experienced victory on Sunday, defeating Lahore Qalandars by 67 runs in the eighth game of the eighth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL8) at Karachi’s National Cricket Stadium, after losing the first three games of the season in a row.
After winning the toss, Lahore Qalandars decided to bowl first. In their opening innings, Karachi Kings scored a respectable 185 runs for Lahore Qalandars while losing 5 wickets. James Vince and Mathew Wade, two batsmen for the Karachi Kings, each scored 46 runs in 36 balls. On the bowling end, Liam Dawson and Zaman Khan each claimed one wicket and gave up 29 and 34 runs, respectively.
Lahore Qalandars failed to reach the mark, scoring just 118 runs in 17.3 overs while losing all of their wickets. Mirza Tahir Baig scored 45 runs in 39 balls for the Lahore Qalandars, and Kamran Ghulam scored 23 runs in 22 balls. Ben Cutting and Akif Javed each claimed two wickets for a combined total of 12 runs and 28 runs while bowling.
