The discussion at the joint session of Parliament aims to increase understanding and forge agreement on these concerns, particularly terrorism.
During the discussion, Senator Mushtaq Ahmed Khan said that terrorist attacks are common in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and that the relevant authorities should take note of this to safeguard the lives and freedoms of those living in the region. Shazia Marri stated that in order for the country to have economic growth, peace and stability, we must entirely eradicate terrorism. She suggested holding an in-camera meeting to solicit security agency input on counterterrorism efforts in order to develop a comprehensive strategy to reduce militancy in the nation.
