The Karachi industry’s two days gas load shedding has been extended.
Industrial areas may see two days of gas load shedding instead of one as Karachi’s crisis worsens.
Hence Gas will not be available to Karachi’s industrial complexes or captive power plants for two days.
From December 17–19, SSGC gas consumption was prohibited in seven industrial zones and captive power plants. Sunday and Saturday.
According to sources, the SSGC will surprise raid all industrial facilities, and the authorities will prosecute anyone who violate the law.
Imtiaz Shaikh, The minister of energy for Sindh, condemned gas load-shedding on December 13. He further claimed that the province generates more natural gas than it requires but is not receiving its fair share.
Imtiaz Shaikh, the energy minister, told ARY News that Sindh should have priority over other regions for natural gas.
Energy Minister of Sindh: “We’ll go to court if required.” He added, “We’re also thinking about bringing the matter up with the CCI.”
He continued by saying that Sindh’s gas situation has been reported to the federal government by the chief minister. Consequently, Hopes the PM takes note.
More gas, according to the province government, will benefit Karachi’s industry.
The majority of Pakistan’s natural gas production occurs in Sindh. Although it is insufficient for residential, commercial, and industrial use.
