The Lahore High Court (LHC) is anticipating the appearance of Imran Khan, the former prime minister and leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, today to plead for the dismissal of 121 cases filed against him.
Imran likely appear LHC today: A five-member larger LHC bench, led by Justice Ali Baqir Najfi and consisting of Justices Amjad Rafique, Anwarul Haq, Tariq Saleem Sheikh, and Alia, will hear Imran Khan’s appeal.
Under a directive from the LHC, the police must provide authenticated copies of the FIRs filed against the former prime minister.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader claimed in his appeal that the accusations made against him are baseless and motivated by politics.
During his appearance before the Lahore High Court, Imran Khan, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, also asked the court to direct the authorities to withdraw the cases lodged against him. Furthermore, He urged the court to reject the complaint against him and take necessary actions to prevent the filing of false FIRs against him.
However, The Islamabad High Court (IHC) had previously assigned Imran Khan, the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, to contact the relevant authorities regarding cases filed against him in the federal capital.
