Imran Khan, a former prime minister, declared on Friday that the party’s “Jail Bharo Tehreek” (court arrest drive) would start on February 22 from Lahore (Wednesday).
Imran had reportedly run out of ways to pressure the PML-N-led government to schedule elections in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and halt it from “political victimisation” when he announced the action on February 5.
The PTI chairman announced his “Jail Bharo Tehreek” starting on Wednesday in a televised speech today. Today, I’m advising my entire group to get ready.
He stated that the movement would start in Lahore and then spread to other significant cities across the nation.
Additionally, Imran urged the populace to put fear behind them and to stand their ground against it.. He expressed gratitude to his followers for assembling outside his Zaman Park home in Lahore at the first sign of rumors about his purported detention.
“They are threatening to put us in jails, but we will pack them all. Their prisons will have no room left.
Additionally, Imran claimed that the current coalition government is doing everything in its power to postpone the elections in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where the provincial assemblies have been dissolved.
However, He stated, “We disbanded the assemblies with the Constitution in mind. “On the 91st day, the caretaker government will be in violation of Article 6 of the Constitution and will be acting illegally.”
