PTI Worker Died in Road Accident: Rejecting the PTI’s assertion that Ali Bilal was killed while in police custody, interim Punjab chief minister Mohsin Naqvi claimed on Saturday that PTI member Ali Bilal, also known as Zille Shah, passed away in a car accident in Lahore.
Ali Bilal, a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf worker, died during the violent clashes between police and PTI supporters on Wednesday before the Lahore demonstration. According to the PTI leadership, Bilal was being held by the police when he was assassinated.
The PTI activist Ali Bilal’s post-mortem report showed that the worker had endured severe torture before passing away from profuse bleeding, despite the party’s assertions that the police were responsible for his murder.
A post-mortem report claims that Ali Bilal was tortured and died from extensive bleeding brought on by a serious blow to the head. According to the study, the victim had 26 distinct signs of torture on his body, including invulnerable areas and a severely damaged portion of his head.
A two-member commission was later established by Punjab police to investigate the death of a PTI activist who was allegedly subjected to police torture during skirmishes outside Zaman Park.
Press Conference
Interim Punjab CM Usman Anwar stated during a press conference that Ali Bilal was killed as a result of being struck by a car. Four guys, he claimed, who drove Ali to the hospital in a 4×4, have been detained and will appear in court.
The Punjab Police were praised by the chief minister for their efforts in finding the suspects. He denied that his administration had any part in the affair.
“I refuse to give up. I would rather go home, but I won’t give in, the CM said reporters, advising PTI to hold off on making unfounded accusations against the Punjab government.
Addressing at the event, Punjab IGP Anwar claimed that Raja Shakeel, the head of PTI’s central Punjab wing, owned the vehicle that was used to transport the deceased worker to the hospital.
He claimed that Shakeel told Yasmeen Rashid, the leader of the PTI in Punjab, that a person had been struck by a car. IGP added that Zille Shah’s blood was found on Raja Shakeel’s vehicle.
If evidence of police carelessness emerged, the IGP promised that action would be taken.
