The statement added that the secretary “expressed condolences for recent terrorist attacks. And stressed U.S. support for Pakistan.”
In Washington, the foreign minister met with representatives of the Pakistani diaspora and American legislators.
According to the state department, Pakistan continues to be a partner of the United States in addressing common challenges. Such as terrorism in Afghanistan and near the Afghan-Pakistan border.
Ned Price, a spokeswoman for the State Agency, said the department was monitoring reports that terrorists had taken control of a counterterrorism facility in Bannu and sent condolences to the victims.
The assailants’ release of all captives, cessation of all violence, and release of the counterterrorism centre were demanded by the spokesperson.
“To help our Pakistani friends take on this task, we have teamed up with them. We are prepared to help, whether it be with this current circumstance or something more general, the spokeswoman stated.
The spokesperson further stated that terrorist organisations in the Afghan-Pakistan border region posed a threat to Pakistan as well as maybe to other nations and people.
“We frequently communicate with our counterparts in Pakistan.” The spokeswoman continued, “We’re prepared to assist them in fending against threats.”
