As Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky adopted a firm line on the restoration of all territory taken by Russian forces, US Vice President Joe Biden guarantees his counterpart that Kyiv will “never stand alone” on Wednesday.
Zelensky, who was on his first travel outside of Ukraine since Russia’s invasion in February, heard from Biden. That there are restrictions on the kind of assistance that Kiev can get without endangering the unity of its allies.
In a joint press conference with Zelensky by his side, Biden declared that Ukraine’s struggle was a part of something far broader and pledged that the United States would provide assistance in the fight against “Russian aggression” for “as long as it takes.”
Zelensky made it plain that he will not be pressured into a deal that leaves Ukrainian territory. Also Some of which Moscow says it has annexed—in Russian hands. Zelensky talked mostly through a translator.
As president, he declared, “Just peace” meant paying back all the harm caused by Russian aggression without making any compromises with regard to the sovereignty, freedom, and territorial integrity of his nation.
Patriot
The president of Ukraine also thanked Washington for agreeing to give the country the cutting-edge Patriot air defence system as part of the $1.85 billion in military aid that concurrently announced with his visit.
The Patriot battery systems, which will greatly bolster our air defence, are the strongest component of this package, according to Zelensky. “This is a crucial step towards establishing Ukraine’s secure airspace.”
According to Biden, the Western coalition supporting Ukraine will stay steadfast.
Biden declared, “I’m not at all concerned about maintaining the partnership. “My feelings of solidarity and support for Ukraine are excellent.”
But he also made it clear that the allies of Ukraine will only agree to provide so much.
The possibility of destroying NATO, the European Union, and the rest of the world exists if we give Ukraine stuff that is fundamentally different from what is presently happening there, according to Biden.
In order for Ukraine to succeed, he continued, “We’re going to give it what it needs to be able to defend itself.”
