Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan’s cricket team, will receive the Sitara-e-Imtiaz award on March 23, 2023 for his exceptional contributions.
Babar Azam will earn the civil award at the age of 28, making him the youngest cricket player to do so. The administration had earlier announced that they would award the Sitara-e-Imtiaz award to cricketer Babar on March 23, 2023.
Former Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed was the youngest cricketer to receive the Sitara-e-Imtiaz award.
The right-hand batter, who won’t be playing in the series against Afghanistan starting on March 24th, will take a break from cricket to attend the ceremony.
Babar Azam has established himself as a role model for young cricketers, and this accolade is a reflection of his commitment to and labour of love in the sport.
A number of outstanding Pakistani cricketers have also received the coveted Sitara-e-Imtiaz award. Misbah-ul-Haq, Younis Khan, Shahid Afridi, Sarfraz Ahmed, Mohammad Yousuf, Saeed Ajmal, Javed Miandad, and Inzamam ul Haq are some of these players.
