Azerbaijan start flights to Pakistan: As Baku has agreed to begin direct flights between the two nations, Pakistan and Azerbaijan are preparing to strengthen their bilateral ties, particularly in the area of tourism.
The flag carrier of Azerbaijan will soon begin direct flights to Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad, according to his ambassador Khazar Farhadov. In order to match Turkiye’s $6 billion trade volume, Azerbaijan aims to develop commerce with Pakistan.
During his visit to the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI), the envoy engaged with the business community and praised direct flights run by Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) for boosting tourism.
Farhadov argued that Azerbaijan Airlines’ direct flights will help boost bilateral trade between the two friendly countries.
Along with trade, Islamabad and Baku were concentrating on enhancing ties in the areas of banking, IT, tourism, energy, transportation, and agriculture.
The ambassador further noted that Pakistani businesses should take advantage of the fact that Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev has waived customs duties on imports of rice from that country.
In addition, he recommended that the Pakistani business community work together to choose companies for these working groups so that the private sector may take the lead in advancing bilateral collaboration.
