Azam Khan Swati, a senator for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, was granted a three-day physical remand on Sunday by a local court in Qambar in relation to a contentious case that had been filed against him in the region.
For using derogatory language in his tweets against top military officials, the PTI leader is now being sued for libel. On Friday, Sindh police arrested him from Balochistan police and transferred him to District Qambar.
Today, Swati was brought before a civil judge and judicial magistrate in Qambar.
At the police’s request, the court ordered Remand for Azam Sawati for Three days.

According to Swati’s attorney at a hearing in an Islamabad court, he has been charged in numerous cases around the nation as a result of his divisive tweets.
The senator was initially detained by the Federal Investigation Authority (FIA) on October 14. After he published a message on his official Twitter account that was extremely threatening and hostile toward the army leader, the judiciary, and other state institutions.
In such situation, the senator had obtained bail. However, on November 27, the FIA detained Swati once more for abusing key military figures, including former army head Gen (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa.
In connection with a comparable complaint brought against him in Quetta, Swati was detained by Balochistan police on December 2.
He had previously been placed on judicial remand in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail. After being detained twice in connection with the contentious Twitter case at the time of his arrest. The Balochistan police then transferred him to Quetta on a transit remand.
