Asif Ali Zardari, a former president, and co-chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) stated on Tuesday that they overthrew Imran Khan’s administration to preserve the nation.
While speaking at a workers’ convention in Mailsi, Asif Ali Zardari claimed that the PTI government has no plans to develop the nation and that they overthrew the previous administration to rescue the country.
He claimed to be completely aware of the problems Pakistanis are currently facing. “We were aware that inflation would become a significant problem for us, but it was better to eliminate him [Imran Khan],”
Zardari asserted that the Imran Khan-led government was likewise plagued by the inflation threat. “The stock market remained stable when PPP left the government, but now the inflation rate increased to 40% and we previously predicted it would happen,”
The PPP co-chairman continued by saying that they will direct the ministries to start resolving the public issues right away. He predicted that the nation’s reserves would rise by up to $100 billion and that prosperity would return.
Yesterday, Zardari criticized Imran Khan, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), for causing “economic chaos” and claimed that the former prime minister wants to sell every state-owned company.
Speaking to reporters in Vehari, the former president claimed that they took office in order to prevent “catastrophe” and that Imran Khan’s continued rule would have destroyed the nation.
Asif Zardari emphasised that he will never speak to Imran Khan and added that he does not view the PTI leader as a politician.
The PPP co-chairman stated in response to a query that his party supports the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) but is not a member of the coalition.
